eWAY is a global payment service provider. The company handles secure credit card payments for merchants. eWay works through eCommerce.
eWAY, was founded in 1998 by Matt Bullock, and eway.com.au was launched in 2000. By 2004, eWAY was affiliated with all major Australian banks, and in 2009 the company expanded by an additional 65%. all major New Zealand banks expanding payment services in the region.In 2014, eWAY expanded to Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Together with its regional expansions, eWAY has partnered with major SaaS companies that provide integrated payment services. In 2013, eWAY worked with Xero to create a “Pay Now” add-on for Xero online invoices. EWAY wins Xero Add-on Partner of the Year for Pay Now. eWAY has built Xero PayThis features. Similar businesses followed the integration of eWAY with NetSuite. EWAY has expanded its partnership with Magento. EWAY has integrated with Shopify.

In December 2013, eWAY worked with the National Bank of Australia to launch eWAY Merchant Services in Australia. In July 2015, eWAY expanded to include physical payments with SmartPOS. The mobile card reader is integrated with Xero, Salesforce and Shopify and is compatible with Tap and Go and EFTPOS payments. SmartPOS refers to iOS, Android and Apple Watch applications. In September 2015, the application launched the eWAY application. In October 2015, eWAY worked with Kikka Capital, a small Perth-based corporate creditor. In November 2015, eWAY became the first Australian payment gateway to offer mobile integration with Apple Pay. In April 2016, eWAY acquired Global Payments.
